Nowoczesne wiertło kręte, cylindryczne, długie. Zgodne z normą wymiarową NWKb, DIN 340 wyprodukowane w całości ze specjalnej stali szybkotnącej HSS. Jest to materiał zwiększający wydajność obróbki a także polepszający jej jakość. Wykonane otwory są osiowe na całej długości i charakteryzują się małą chropowatością. Nadto stal szybkotnąca zwiększa twardość wierteł i ich trwałość. W efekcie narzędzia mogą być stosowane nawet w bardzo ciężkich warunkach, w tym w wysokiej temperaturze powstałej podczas wiercenia nawet z bardzo dużą prędkością. Ostrza wierteł są odporne na różnorodne uszkodzenia mechaniczne takie jak złamania, pęknięcia a nawet stępienie. Gwarantuje to długi okres ich używania i tym samym ograniczenie kosztów obróbki.
