Frezy trzpieniowe NFPa DIN 844 są to frezy walcowo-czołowe prawoskrętne wykonane z wysokiej jakości stali szybkotnącej HSSE z dodatkiem 5% kobaltu. Posiadają chwyt wykonany wg. Normy DIN 1835 a kąt spirali ostrza L=30 st. Idealnie nadają się do obróbki półwykańczającej oraz wykańczającej. Stosowany przy frezowaniu czołowym i obwodowym. Dobrze wyważony rdzeń freza minimalizuje ugięcie i karbowanie powierzchni obrabianej. Zaletą stosowania takich frezów jest wzajemne znoszenie się sił osiowych występujących na obu częściach freza. Charakteryzuje się wysoką ciągliwością (wysoka stabilność krawędzi i odporność na wykruszenia) i wysoką trwałością. Zaprojektowany do obróbki wykańczającej materiałów trudno obrabialnych. Możliwa praca na sucho jak i z chłodziwem.
