Gwintownik wykonany jest zgodnie z normą DIN 376, z nowoczesnej stali szybkotnącej HSSE – z dodatkiem 5% kobaltu. Taki skład stali wpływa na zwiększenie wytrzymałości gwintowników na działanie niekorzystnych warunków obróbki, w tym również wysokiej temperatury powstałej podczas gwintowania na wysokich obrotach.
