Jest to gwintownik drobnozwojny, typ M 8x1, nakrój C – do otworów przelotowych i nieprzelotowych. Wyprodukowany jest przez serbską firmę FRA – znaną na całym świecie markę, cenioną za bardzo dobrą jakość produkowanych narzędzi do obróbki skrawaniem. Produkty FRA są stosowane w niemalże wszystkich gałęziach przemysłu na całym świecie. Firma działa na rynku od 1953 roku. Bogate doświadczenie uzupełnia prowadzoną współpracą z kilkoma instytutami naukowymi. Efektem tej współpracy jest wdrażanie do produkcji narzędzi nowatorskich technologii i stosowania nowoczesnych materiałów.
